With this round of elections coming up in November, general discussions appear to indicate the fear New Hampshire will move closer to a blue state from it’s current purple status. A November slide for Duval Patrick (D) into the Massachusetts governorship over republican Kerry Healey, will trigger a migration unseen before of middle of the road democrats to the Live Free or Die state. Patrick, a proponent of illegal aliens, and also known for getting a rapist (who repeatedly raped an 80 year old woman) free from jail, by writing a letter to the state on his behalf, will almost surely turn Massachusetts into an alien mecca. Cambridge Ma. is already a self proclaimed alien safe-haven, publishing materials to illegals defining all the safe spots and methods to fast track the illegals to social benefits.

New Hampshire, once the only red state stronghold, is being infected by socialists who move to the granite state from all over New England, and New York. The most recent change one can notice, is the change in the road sign as you enter the state, which used to read, “Bienvenue Welcome to New Hampshire Live Free or Die” to “Welcome to New Hampshire You’re Going to Like it Here”.

The license plates which used to exclusively read “Live Free or Die” are now smudged with a moose for the lily-livered among us.

Most of the socialists moving into New Hampshire certainly misread the state motto from the “Live Free or Die” to mean Live FOR Free or Die.

As a state without an income tax or sales tax, New Hampshire funds itself by property taxes, business taxes, meals taxes and tolls on certain roadways. Most of the services such as trash pickup are the burden of the household, which is to say, you want it, you buy it. As most of the socialists move into the state, a variety of services they were used to in their tax burdened states, are missing and are now out of pocket. Now they vote for this and that which increases the property tax.

Every democrat who runs for office is hell bent on implementing an income tax and a sales tax touted to reduce property tax. This way they can make the state a socialist hell hole.

Currently, over 95% of the property taxes in the state go to education, and the socialists including the teachers union want more. Whoda thunk it? The teacher’s union sensing a push to eliminate them from the school system, in favor of a non-union solution, has made a big push to get out the vote in an effort to keep their position. The push has been in the form of pushing for more schools in places not needing another school. If you build schools, your in good shape in New Hampshire. This doesn’t mean the constituancy will get any smarter. That’s not the job of the teacher’s union.

The state’s governor, John Lynch, is a democrat, who to his credit hasn’t done much, which is a blessing to us all, but the current opponent, Jim Coburn (R), doesn’t have the recognition to oust him. State House, marginally republican, is slated to go the other way, if you know what I mean, this November. Once that happens the state will be in the bowl just waiting for the flush.

During the election of 2000, you could see the state of New Hampshire as a red patch in a sea of blue, but a change occurred during the 2004 election. Some election maps displayed the state either white, purple, or blue depending on the station you were watching. The next time you see an election map, it will most definately be blue.

Once a rural state which had it’s own special identity and charm will be going the way of other New England states so you will rarely know you have traveled from one state to the next.

So if you find yourself talking to a New Hampsire resident, and you start hearing things like we have a new library, or how about that new police station, have you seen the new fire station? You can rest assured you are most likely talking to a transplanted socialist and someone that is turning New Hampshire blue.
