Apparently the new Vista operating system not only is a major resource hog that comes in several different flavors, most will find the “Ultimate” version is not available to them as this version is only for those with major corporate contracts.
The last thing corporations need is a major entertainment outlet on employee desktops. Less work more play seems to be the theme.
Added features of Vista also include the requirement to upgrade your sofware packages since your current versions may not run properly on the new os.
Seems like a win-win for MS and third party software providers.
When you take a look at the MS strategy, one begins to realize they are taking that big step backward to centralized data. This was (and maybe still is) the strategy of Oracle’s Larry Ellison. No longer will you need to have local storage as you can pay a fee to have all the applications available to you plus all the storage you need (for a price of course).
Where will your data be? On the big hard drive on the net.
Don’t worry, Be Happy!
