It’s time has come where we shift the burden of taxes to those who are benefiting the most.

Free trade needs to be abolished. If you have to ask yourself why, you must have been born last night!

What has NAFTA done for us as Americans? Well let’s just say, Home Depot has more engineers working for them than IBM.

Why is Walmart doing so well? Because, they don’t have to pay the tariffs that would make those products comparatively priced with American goods. Oh yes, if you have any doubts, just look at the trade imbalance we have with China, then look at Walmart.

Just look at one viable business opportunity, product validation. Let’s not put that in the hands of the government, but let’s make it a private enterprise by requiring all imports be inspected and validated (for a fee of course) by a third party validation company. So Mattel can’t inspect their own products, and can’t have any interest in the company that does. In fact let’s take it one step further, no company involved in importing products for sale in this country can be involved in the inspection business. Just think, at a penny per toy, there would be a few bucks involved. In reality it would be closer to a buck for a simple toy, and every one has to be tested, non of this sampling crap. “This item personally inspected by….” would accompany every product. and then the packaging would take place here. If the packaging was made outside the country, it also has to be inspected.

You might say, then everything will get so expensive, and it might in the short term, but then the market will kick in like it does and down go the prices, because the importers will be making less of a killing, (a killing still), but just a bit less.

Also, the amount of tariff needs to be adjusted to eliminate the imbalances in trade. So if China wants to maintain a multi-billion dollar imbalance, then the tariff would be adjusted to compensate for the privilege of selling their stuff here.

Just a thought.
